arming period, opening any door or the liftgate will
cancelthearming.IftheVehicleSecurityAlarmsuccess-
fully arms, the Vehicle Security Light will flash at a
slowerratetoindicatethealarmisset.

button on the RKE transmitter to disarm the Vehicle
Security Alarm. You may also accidentally disarm the
Vehicle Security Alarm by unlocking the driver’s door
withthekeyandthenlockingit.Thedoorwillbelocked
buttheVehicleSecurityAlarmwillnotarm.

To Disarm the System
To disarm the Vehicle SecurityAlarm, you will need to
press the UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter or
turntheignitionkeytotheONposition.Ifsomethinghas
triggeredtheVehicleSecurityAlarminyourabsence,the
hornwillsoundthreetimeswhenyouunlockthedoors.
Checkthevehiclefortampering.
ILLUMINATED ENTRY
Theinteriorlightscomeonwhenyouopenanydooror
use the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to un-
lockanydoor.Theywillremainonforabout30seconds
afteralldoorsareclosedthenfadetooff.
Thelightsalsowillfadetooffifyouturnontheignition
afteryoucloseallthedoors.
The Vehicle SecurityAlarm is designed to protect your
vehicle; however, you can create conditions where the
Vehicle Security Alarm will arm unexpectedly. If you
remain in the vehicle and lock the doors with the RKE
transmitter, once the Vehicle Security Alarm is armed
(after16seconds),whenyoupullthedoorhandletoexit,
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY
Thissystemallowsyoutolockorunlockthedoorsand
liftgate,oractivatethepanicalarm,fromdistancesupto
approximately 30 ft (9 m) using a handheld Remote
