positionshouldbeusedwhenmoreairflowisdesired,or
whenrearseatoccupantsarepresent.Dialinthecomfort
settingyouwouldlikethesystemtomaintainbyrotating
thedriver’sorpassenger’scontrolknob.Oncethecom-
fortlevelisselected,thesystemwillmaintainthatlevel
automatically using the heating system. Should the de-
sired comfort level require air conditioning, the system
willautomaticallymaketheadjustment.

You will experience the greatest efficiency by simply
allowingthesystemtofunctionautomatically.Selecting
theOFF(O)positionontheblowercontrolknobstopsthe
systemcompletely.
AutomaticTemperatureControls
NOTE: Thenumbersonthetemperaturedialrepresent
a comfort setting when the Mode knob is set toAUTO,
andnottheactualairtemperature.
NOTE: Thetemperaturesettingcanbeadjustedatany
timewithoutaffectingautomaticcontroloperation.How-
ever, if the driver and/or passenger temperature knobs
are set to the full hot or full cold positions, the air
temperatureoutoftheductswillbefullhotorfullcold
Turnthemodecontrol(ontheright)knobtoAUTO,and
thenturntheblowercontrol(ontheleft)knobtoeither
LOAUTOorHIAUTO.TheLOAUTOpositionshould
