THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
General Information
NOTE: ThePanicandSecurityalarmsarequitediffer-
ent.PleasetakeamomenttoactivatethePanicandthe
Securitymodestohearthedifferencesinthehorn.Incase
one should go off in the future, you will need to know
whichmodehasbeenactivatedinordertodeactivateit.

Rearming The System
Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencethatmaybe
received,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundes-
iredoperation.
Ifsomethingtriggersthealarm,andnoactionistakento
disarm it, the Vehicle Security Alarm will turn off the
hornafterthreeminutes,turnoffallofthevisualsignals
after15minutes,andthentheVehicleSecurityAlarmwill
rearmitself.
VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM
ThisVehicleSecurityAlarmmonitorsthevehicledoors,
liftgate, liftgate flipper glass, and ignition for unautho-
rizedoperation.Whenthealarmisactivated,theVehicle
SecurityAlarmprovidesbothaudibleandvisiblesignals.
The horn, headlights, and tail lights will sound/flash
repeatedly for three minutes. If disturbance is still
present(driver’sdoor,passengerdoor,otherdoors,igni-
tion) after three minutes, the headlights and tail lights
willflashforanadditional15minutes.
To Set the Alarm
The alarm will set when you use the Remote Keyless
Entry(RKE)transmittertolockthedoorsandliftgate,or
whenyouusethepowerdoorlockswitchwhilethedoor
is open. After all the doors are locked and closed, the
VehicleSecurityLight(locatedintheinstrumentcluster)
willflashrapidlyforabout16secondstosignalthatthe
