If your Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter fails to
operate from a normal distance, check for these two
conditions.

lifeofthebatteryisaminimumofthreeyears.
Hazardswitchoff

tower,airporttransmitter,andsomemobileorCBradios.
Closenesstoaradiotransmittersuchasaradiostation
Brakeswitchinactive(brakepedalnotpressed)
Ignitionkeyremovedfromignitionswitch
Batteryatanacceptablechargelevel,and
RKEPANICbuttonnotpressed.
REMOTE STARTING SYSTEM — IF  EQUIPPED
This system uses the Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) transmitter to start the engine conve-
niently from outside the vehicle while still
maintainingsecurity.Thesystemhasarangeof
ToEnterRemoteStartMode
PressandreleasetheREMOTESTARTbutton
ontheRKEtransmittertwice,withinfivesec-
onds.Theparkinglightswillflashandthehorn
will chirp twice (if programmed). Then, the
engine will start and the vehicle will remain in the
RemoteStartmodefora15minutecycle.
