THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
NOTE:
NOTE: To avoid unintentional shutdowns, the system
will disable the one time press of the REMOTE START
button for two seconds after receiving a valid Remote
Startrequest.

Ifanenginefaultispresentthevehiclewillstartand
thenshutdown10secondslater.
The park lamps will turn on and remain on during
RemoteStartmode.
ToExitRemoteStartModeandDrivetheVehicle
Beforetheendof15minutecycle,pressandreleasethe
UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter to unlock the
doors and disarm the Vehicle Security Alarm (if
equipped).Then,priortotheendofthe15minutecycle,
insertthekeyintotheignitionswitchandturntheswitch
totheONposition.
For security, power window and power sunroof op-
eration(ifequipped)aredisabledwhenthevehicleis
intheRemoteStartmode.

Theenginecanbestartedtwoconsecutivetimes(two

minutecycles)withtheRKEtransmitter.However,
theignitionswitchmustbecycledtotheONposition
before you can repeat the start sequence for a third
cycle.

The ignition switch must be in the ON position in
ordertodrivethevehicle.
For vehicles equipped with the Electronic Vehicle
InformationCenter(EVIC),themessage“InsertKey/
Turn To Run” will flash in the EVIC until you insert
the key. Once inserted, the message “Turn To Run”
willflashintheEVICuntilyouturnthekeytorun.
ToExitRemoteStartModeWithoutDrivingthe
Vehicle
PressandreleasetheREMOTESTARTbuttononetimeor
allowtheenginetorunfortheentire15minutecycle.
