TurntheignitionswitchtotheON/RUNposition.
Hold the battery side of the handheld transmitter
awayfromtheHomeLinkbuttonyouwishtoprogram.
Placethehandheldtransmitter1–3in(3-8cm)awayfrom
the HomeLink button you wish to program while
keepingtheindicatorlightinview.

BeforeYouBegin
If you have not trained any of the HomeLink buttons,
eraseallchannelsbeforeyoubegintraining.

Simultaneously press and hold both the chosen
HomeLinkbuttonandthehandheldtransmitterbutton
untiltheHomeLinkindicatorchangesfromaslowtoa
rapidlyblinkinglight,thenreleaseboththeHomeLink
andhandheldtransmitterbuttons.
To do this, press and hold the two outside buttons for

secondsuntiltheredindicatorflashes.
It is recommended that a new battery be placed in the
handheldtransmitterofthedevicethatisbeingcopiedto
HomeLink for more efficient training and accurate
transmissionoftheradio-frequencysignal.
WatchfortheHomeLinkindicatortochangeflashrates.
When it changes, it is programmed. It may take up to
30
secondsorlongerinrarecases.Thegaragedoormay
openandclosewhileyoutrain.
