Thebagsthenquicklydeflatewhilehelpingtorestrain
thedriverandfrontpassenger.
IfthereisafaultpresentintheOCS,the“AirbagWarning
Light”(aredlightlocatedinthecenteroftheinstrument
clusterdirectlyinfrontofthedriver)willbeturnedon.
This indicates that you should take the vehicle to an
authorizeddealer.The“AirbagWarningLight”isturned
onwheneverthereisafaultthatcanaffecttheoperation
oftheairbagsystem.IfthereisafaultpresentintheOCS,
boththe“PADIndicatorLight”andthe“AirbagWarning
Light”areilluminatedtoshowthatthepassengerairbag
is turned off until the fault is cleared. If an object is
lodged under the seat and interferes with operation of
theweightsensors,afaultwilloccurwhichturnsonboth
the “PAD Indicator Light” and the “Airbag Warning
Light.”Oncethelodgedobjectisremoved,thefaultwill
beautomaticallyclearedafterashortperiodoftime.
Thedriverfrontairbaggasisventedthroughthevent
holes in the sides of the airbag. The passenger front
airbaggasisventedthroughtheventholesinthesides
oftheairbag.Inthisway,theairbagsdonotinterfere
withyourcontrolofthevehicle.
