STARTING AND OPERATING
The“HillDescent”buttonislocatedinthelowerswitch      2. Press the “Hill Descent” button. The “Hill Descent
bankbelowtheclimatecontrol.
Control Indicator Light” in the instrument cluster will
turnonsolid.
NOTE: If the transfer case is not in 4WD LOW range,
the“HillDescentControlIndicatorLight”willflashfor
fivesecondsandHDCwillnotbeenabled.
DisablingHDC
1.
Press the “Hill Descent” button or shift the transfer
caseoutof4WDLOWrange.The“HillDescentControl
Indicator”lightintheinstrumentclusterwillturnoff.
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
Thissystemenhancesdirectionalcontrolandstabilityof
the vehicle under various driving conditions. ESP cor-
rectsforover-steeringandunder-steeringthevehicleby
applying the brake of the appropriate wheel. Engine
powermayalsobereducedtohelpthevehiclemaintain
thedesiredpath.
