For vehicles not equipped with the EVIC, perform the IlluminatedApproach—IfEquipped
followingsteps:
Thisfeatureactivatestheheadlightsforupto90seconds
when the doors are unlocked with the RKE transmitter.
The time for this feature is programmable on vehicles 2
equippedwiththeElectronicVehicleInformationCenter
(EVIC). Refer to “Electronic Vehicle Information Center
(EVIC)/PersonalSettings(Customer-ProgrammableFea-
tures)” in “Understanding Your Instrument Panel” for
furtherinformation.

Press and hold the LOCK button on a programmed
(i.e., functional) RKE transmitter for at least 4 seconds,
butnolongerthan10seconds.Then,pressandholdthe
UNLOCKbuttonwhilestillholdingtheLOCKbutton.

Releasebothbuttonsatthesametime.
Test the feature from outside the vehicle by pressing
theLOCKandUNLOCKbuttonsontheRKEtransmitter. To Lock the Doors and Liftgate
PressandreleasetheLOCKbuttonontheRKEtransmit-
tertolockalldoorsandtheliftgate.Theturnsignallights
willflashandthehornwillchirptoacknowledgethelock
signal.

NOTE: PressingtheLOCKbuttonontheRKEtransmit-
ter while you are inside the vehicle will activate the
SecurityAlarm.OpeningadoorwiththeSecurityAlarm
activated will cause the alarm to sound. Press the UN-
LOCKbuttontodeactivatetheSecurityAlarm.
