Damage to the fuel system or emission control
system could result from using an improper fuel
cap(gascap).Apoorlyfittingcapcouldletimpu-
rities into the fuel system. Also, a poorly fitting
aftermarketcapcancausethe“MalfunctionIndi-
catorLight(MIL)”toilluminate,duetofuelvapors
escapingfromthesystem.
Thegascapislocatedbehindthefuelfillerdoor,onthe
driver’s side of the vehicle. If the gas cap is lost or
damaged,besurethereplacementcaphasbeendesigned
forusewiththisvehicle.

Toavoidfuelspillageandoverfilling,donot“top
off”thefueltankafterfilling.
