(ABS).Thelightwillturnonwhentheignition (RPM x 1000). Before the pointer reaches the red area,

4WDLOWIndicator—IfEquipped
IftheABSlightremainsonorturnsonwhiledriving,it
indicatesthattheAnti-Lockportionofthebrakesystem
isnotfunctioningandthatserviceisrequired.However,
the conventional brake system will continue to operate
normallyiftheBRAKEwarninglightisnoton.
Thislightalertsthedriverthatthevehicleisin
the 4WD LOW mode. In this mode, the front
driveshaftandreardriveshaftaremechanically
locked together forcing the front and rear

wheelstorotateatthesamespeed.
IftheABSlightison,thebrakesystemshouldbeserviced 17. HillDescentControlIndicator—IfEquipped
as soon as possible to restore the benefits of Anti-Lock
brakes. If the ABS light does not turn on when the
Ignition switch is turned to the ON position, have the
lightinspectedbyanauthorizeddealer.
The symbol indicates the status of the Hill
DescentControl(HDC)feature.Thelampwill
beonsolidwhenHDCisarmed.HDCcanonly
bearmedwhenthetransfercaseisinthe“4WD
LOW”positionandthevehiclespeedislessthen30mph
