leakagecouldoccurifitisnot
installedcorrectly.

ØWhenreplacingthebattery,be
carefulnottobendtheelectrical
terminalsorgetoilonthem.Also
becarefulnottogetdirtinthe
transmitterasitcouldbe
damaged.
ØThereisthedangerofexplosionif
thebatteryisnotcorrectly
replaced.
ØReplaceonlywiththesametype
battery(CR1620orequivalent).
ØDisposeofusedbatteries
accordingtothefollowing
instructions.
Ø Insulatetheplusandminus
terminalsofthebatteryusing
cellophaneorequivalenttape.
Ø Neverdisassemble.
Ifyouwitnessfromadistancesomeone
attemptingtobreakintoordamageyour
vehicle,pressingthepanicbuttonwill
activatethevehicle'salarm.
NOTE
Thepanicbuttonwillworkwhetheranydoor
ortheliftgate/trunklidisopenorclosed.
Turningonthealarm
Pressingthepanicbuttonfor1secondor
morewilltriggerthealarmforabout2
minutesand30seconds,andthe
followingwilloccur:
Thehornsoundsintermittently.

Thehazardwarninglightsflash.
l
Turningoffthealarm
Pressanybuttononthetransmitter.
Ø Neverthrowthebatteryinto
fireand/orwater.
Ø Neverdeformorcrush.
qTransmitterMaintenance
Ifthebuttonsonthetransmitterare
inoperableandtheoperationindicator
lightdoesnotflash,thebatterymaybe
dead.
Replacingthetransmitterbattery
1. Unfoldthekey(page3-24).
Replacewithanewbatterybeforethe
transmitterbecomesunusable.
