Touchingthecomponentsofthesupplementalrestraintsystemaftertheairbags
haveinflatedisdangerous.Immediatelyafterinflation,theyareveryhot.Youcould
getburned.
Neverinstallanyfront-endequipmenttoyourvehicle:
Installationoffront-endequipment,suchasfrontalprotectionbar(kangaroobar,
bullbar,pushbar,orothersimilardevices),snowplow,orwinches,isdangerous.The
airbagcrashsensorsystemcouldbeaffected.Thiscouldcauseairbagstoinflate
unexpectedly,oritcouldpreventtheairbagsfrominflatingduringanaccident.
Frontoccupantscouldbeseriouslyinjured.
Donotmodifythesuspension:
Modifyingthevehiclesuspensionisdangerous.Ifthevehicle'sheightorthe
suspensionismodified,thevehiclewillbeunabletoaccuratelydetectacollision
resultinginincorrectorunexpectedairbagdeploymentandthepossibilityofserious
injuries.
Donotmodifythesupplementalrestraintsystem:
Modifyingthecomponentsorwiringofthesupplementalrestraintsystemis
dangerous.Youcouldaccidentallyactivateitormakeitinoperable.Donotmake
anymodificationstothesupplementalrestraintsystem.Thisincludesinstallingtrim,
badges,oranythingelseovertheairbagmodules.Italsoincludesinstallingextra
electricalequipmentonornearsystemcomponentsorwiring.AnAuthorizedMazda
Dealercanprovidethespecialcareneededintheremovalandinstallationoffront
seats.Itisimportanttoprotecttheairbagwiringandconnectionstoassurethatthe
bagsdonotaccidentallydeploy,thedriverseatslidepositionsensorandfront
passengerseatweightsensorsarenotdamagedandthattheseatsretainan
undamagedairbagconnection.
NOTE
Whenanairbagdeploys,aloudinflationnoisecanbeheardandsomesmokewillbereleased.

Neitherislikelytocauseinjury,however,thetextureoftheairbagsmaycauselightskininjuries
onbodypartsnotcoveredwithclothingthroughfriction.
