Ifthecheckenginelightremainsonor

speedsandconsultanAuthorizedMazda
Dealerassoonaspossible.
qHighEngineCoolant
TemperatureWarningLight
Iftheairbag/frontseatbeltpretensioner
systemisworkingproperly,thewarning
lightilluminateswhentheignitionis
switchedONoraftertheengineis
cranked.Thewarninglightturnsoffafter
aspecifiedperiodoftime.
Asystemmalfunctionisindicatedifthe
warninglightconstantlyflashes,
constantlyilluminatesordoesnot
illuminateatallwhentheignitionis
switchedON.Ifanyoftheseoccur,
consultanAuthorizedMazdaDealeras
soonaspossible.Thesystemmaynot
workinanaccident.
Whentheignitionswitchisturnedtothe
ONposition,thelightilluminates
momentarilyandthenturnsoff.
Thelightflasheswhentheenginecoolant
temperatureisextremelyhigh,and
illuminateswhentheenginecoolant
temperatureincreasesfurther.
WARNING
HandlingProcedure
Nevertamperwiththeairbag/
pretensionersystemsandalwayshave
anAuthorizedMazdaDealerperform
allservicingandrepairs:
Self-servicingortamperingwiththe
systemsisdangerous.Anairbag/
pretensionercouldaccidentally
activateorbecomedisabledcausing
seriousinjuryordeath.
Flashinglight
Driveslowlytoreduceengineload.
Illuminatedlight
Thisindicatesthepossibilityof
overheating.Parkthevehicleinasafe
placeimmediatelyandtakeappropriate
measures.
