Improperlyorlooselytightenedlug
nutsaredangerous.Thewheelcould
wobbleorcomeoff.Thiscouldresult
inlossofvehiclecontrolandcausea
seriousaccident.

Besuretoreinstallthesamenutsyou
removedorreplacethemwithmetric
nutsofthesameconfiguration:
Becausethewheelstudsandlugnuts
onyourMazdahavemetricthreads,
usinganon-metricnutisdangerous.
Onametricstud,itwouldnotsecure
thewheelandwoulddamagethe
stud,whichcouldcausethewheelto
slipoffandcauseanaccident.
Donotapplyoilorgreasetolugnuts
andboltsanddonottightenthelug
nutsbeyondtherecommended
tighteningtorque:
Applyingoilorgreasetolugnutsand
boltsisdangerous.Thelugnuts
couldloosenwhiledrivingandcause
thetiretocomeoff,resultinginan
accident.Inaddition,lugnutsand
boltscouldbedamagediftightened
morethannecessary.
5. Storethedamagedtire,usingthetire
hold-downbolttoholditinplace.

Turnthejackhandlecounterclockwise
andlowerthevehicle.Usethelug
wrenchtotightenthenutsintheorder
shown.
