WindshieldWipersand
Washer
Becauseheavyiceandsnowcanjamthewiper
blades,thewipermotorisprotectedfrom
motorbreakdown,overheatingandpossible
firebyacircuitbreaker.Thismechanismwill
automaticallystopoperationoftheblades,but
onlyforabout5minutes.
TheignitionmustbeswitchedON.
WARNING
Useonlywindshieldwasherfluidor
plainwaterinthereservoir:
Usingradiatorantifreezeaswasher
fluidisdangerous.Ifsprayedonthe
windshield,itwilldirtythe
windshield,affectyourvisibility,and
couldresultinanaccident.
Ifthishappens,turnoffthewiperswitchand
parkofftheright-of-way,andremovethesnow
andice.
After5minutes,turnontheswitchandthe
bladesshouldoperatenormally.Iftheydonot
resumefunctioning,consultanAuthorized
MazdaDealerassoonaspossible.Driveto
thesideoftheroadandparkofftheright-of-
way.Waituntiltheweatherclearsbeforetrying
todrivewiththewipersinoperative.
Onlyusewindshieldwasherfluid
mixedwithanti-freezeprotectionin
freezingweatherconditions:
Usingwindshieldwasherfluid
withoutanti-freezeprotectionin
freezingweatherconditionsis
dangerousasitcouldfreezeonthe
windshieldandblockyourvision
whichcouldcauseanaccident.
Inaddition,makesurethe
qWindshieldWipers
TypeA(WithINTposition)
windshieldissufficientlywarmed
usingthedefrosterbeforespraying
thewasherfluid.
Turnthewipersonbypullingthelever
down.
INT―Intermittent
LO―Lowspeed
HI―Highspeed
Forasinglewipingcycle,pressthelever
uptoMIST.
MIST―Mist
