beinspectedbeforetheengineisstarted

Thestarterwillnotoperateiftheclutchpedal
isnotdepressedsufficiently.

Whenthepushbuttonstartispressedtothe
ONposition,thesoundoftheheadlight
levelingmotorsoperatingatthefrontofthe
enginecompartmentcanbeheard.Thisdoes
notindicateanabnormality.

Thestarterwillnotoperateiftheshiftleveris
notinPorNandthebrakepedalisnot
depressedsufficiently.

VerifythattheKEYindicatorlight
(green)intheinstrumentclusterand
thepushbuttonstartindicatorlight
(green)illuminate.IftheKEYindicator
light(green)doesnotilluminate,make
surethattheadvancedkeyisbeing
carried.IftheKEYindicatorlight
(green)doesnotilluminatewhilethe
advancedkeyisbeingcarried,youmay
havetousetheauxiliarykeytostart
theengineinstead(page3-23).
