thanabout20°C(70°F),startthe
engineandinspectthefluidlevel
aftertheenginereachesoperating
temperature.
ChecktheATFlevel.IfthereisnoATF
adhering5mmfromtheendofthe
dipstick,addATF.
CAUTION
IfthereisnoATFadheringtothe
dipstickevenaftertheenginehas
beenwarmedup,donotdrivethe
vehicle.Otherwise,theautomatic
transaxlecouldbedamaged.
ØIfthevehiclehasbeendrivenfor
anextendedperiodathighspeeds
orincitytrafficinhotweather,
inspectthelevelonlyafter
stoppingtheengineandallowing
thefluidtocoolfor30minutes.

Shifttheshiftlevertoeachrangeand
position,andmakesurethereisno
abnormality.
Fullyinsertthedipstick.Whenadding
fluid,inspectwiththedipsticktomake
sureitdoesnotpassfull.

Drivethevehicleoncityroadsfor
5
km(3.1mile)ormore.
NOTE
Inspectthefluidonbothsidesofthedipstickin
awelllitareaforanaccuratereading.
Parkonalevelsurfaceandsetthe
parkingbrakefirmly.
Shifttheshiftlevertotheparkposition
(P),checktheATFlevelwhilethe
engineisidling,andmakesurethatthe
ATFleveliswithintheproperlevel.If
theATFlevelisnotwithintheproper
level,addATF.Theproperfluidlevel
ismarkedonthedipstickasfollows.
