sideofthelidduringrefuelingtopreventfuel
onthecapfromdrippingontothevehicle.
Toremovethefuel-fillercap,turnit
counterclockwise.
Toclosethefuel-fillercap,turnit
clockwiseuntiltwoormoreclicksounds
areheard.
Open
Close
CAUTION
Ifthecheckfuelcapwarninglight
illuminates,thefuel-fillercapmay
notbeproperlyinstalled.Ifthe
warninglightilluminates,parkyour
vehiclesafelyofftheright-of-way,
removethefuel-fillercapand
reinstallitcorrectly.Afterthecaphas
beencorrectlyinstalled,thefuelcap
warninglightmaycontinueto
illuminateuntilanumberofdriving
cycleshavebeencompleted.Adrive
cycleconsistsofstartingtheengine
(afterfourormorehourswiththe
engineoff)anddrivingthevehicleon
cityandhighwayroads.
Continuingtodrivewiththecheck
fuelcapwarninglightilluminated
couldcausethecheckenginelightto
illuminateaswell.
