Asyoumoveclosertotheobstacle,
therateofthetoneincreases.When
theobstacleislessthan25.0cm(10
in.)away,thetonewillsound
continuously.IftheRSSdetectsa
stationaryorrecedingobjectfurther
than25.0cm(10in.)fromtheside
ofthevehicle,thetonewillsound
foronlythreeseconds.Oncethe
systemdetectsanobject
approaching,thetonewillsound
again.
TheRSSautomaticallyturnson
whenthegearselectorisplacedin
R(Reverse)andtheignitionisON.
AnRSScontrolallowsthedriverto
turntheRSSonandoff.ToturntheRSSoff,theignitionmustbeON,
andthegearselectorinR(Reverse).Anindicatorlightonthecontrol
willilluminatewhenthesystemisturnedoff.Iftheindicatorlight
illuminateswhentheRSSisnotturnedoff,itmayindicateafailurein
theRSS.
KeeptheRSSsensors(locatedontherearbumper/fascia)free
fromsnow,iceandlargeaccumulationsofdirt(donotcleanthe
sensorswithsharpobjects).Ifthesensorsarecovered,itwill
affecttheaccuracyoftheRSS.
Ifyourvehiclesustainsdamagetotherearbumper/fascia,leaving
itmisalignedorbent,thesensingzonemaybealteredcausing
inaccuratemeasurementofobstaclesorfalsealarms.

Ifdrivingthroughdeeporstandingwaterisunavoidable,proceedvery
slowlyespeciallyifthedepthisnotknown.Neverdrivethroughwater
