Ifyourvehicleisautomatictransmissionequipped,witha4x2
(front-wheeldriveonly)configuredpowertrain,“recreationaltowing”is
permittedbytraileringthevehiclewithitsfrontwheelsonadolly.This
protectsthetransmission’sinternalmechanicalcomponentsfrom
potentiallackoflubricationdamage.
Ifyourvehicleisautomatictransmissionequipped,witha4x4(all-wheel
drive)configuredpowertrain,“recreationaltowing”ispermittedonlyif
thevehicleistraileredwithallfour(4)wheelsofftheground.Otherwise,
no“recreationaltowing”ispermitted.
Ifyourvehicleismanualtransmissionequipped,shiftingthetransmission
intoneutralpermits“flat-towing”(allwheelsontheground)forpulling
behindamotorhome.Yourvehiclemaybetoweduptoaspeedof120
km/h(75mph)butyoushouldalwaysobeylocalspeedlimits.
