Removethenewlyprogrammedcodedkeyfromtheignition.
Ifthekeyhasbeensuccessfullyprogrammeditwillstartthevehicle’s
engineandthetheftindicatorlightwillilluminateforthreesecondsand
thengoout.
Ifthekeywasnotsuccessfullyprogrammed,itwillnotstartyour
vehicle’sengineandthetheftindicatorlightwillflashonandoff,orstay
onformorethanthreeseconds.Iffailurerepeats,bringyourvehicleto
yourdealertohavethenewkey(s)programmed.
Toprogramadditionalnewunprogrammedkey(s),repeatthisprocedure
fromstep1foreachadditionalkey.
PERIMETER ALARM SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
Theperimeteranti-theftsystemwillhelppreventyourvehiclefrom
unauthorizedentry.
Ifthereisanypotentialperimeteranti-theftproblemwithyourvehicle,
ensureALLremoteentrytransmittersaretakentothedealershipto
aidintroubleshooting.
Arming the system
Whenarmed,thissystemwillrespondifunauthorizedentryis
attempted.Whenunauthorizedentryoccurs,thesystemwillflashthe
headlampsandparkinglamps,andwillsoundthehorn.
Thesystemisreadytoarmwheneverkeyisremovedfromtheignition.
Eitherofthefollowingactionswillprearmthealarmsystem:

Pressthe
controlontheremoteentrytransmitter.
Lockthedoorswiththekeyinthekeycylinder.
Openadoorandpressthepowerdoorlockcontroltolockallthe
doors,andthenclosethedoor.
NOTE:Thehood,eachdoorandtheliftgatearmindividually,andifany
ofthemareopen,theymustbeclosedinordertobearmed.
Whenyoulockthevehicleusinganyofthethreemethodsabove:

theparklampswillflashoncetoindicatethehood,eachdoorandthe
liftgateareclosed.
theparklampswillnotflashifthehood,anydoorortheliftgateare
open.Oncealldoors,hoodandliftgateareclosed,theparklampswill
flashtoconfirmthealarmhasbeenset.
Whenyoupressthe
controltheremoteentrytransmittertwicewithin
threeseconds,thehornwillchirponcetoconfirmthedoors,hoodand
liftgateareclosedandlockedandthealarmisset.
