NOTE: Theinteriorlightswillturnoffwhentheignition
is switched to the ACC or ON position after the panic
alarmisactivated.However,theexteriorlightsandhorn
willremainon.

Driving with the flipper glass open can allow poi-
sonousexhaustgasesintoyourvehicle.Youandyour
passengers could be injured by these fumes. Keep
theflipperglassclosedwhenyouareoperatingthe
vehicle.
NOTE: Whenyouturnoffthepanicalarmbypressing
the PANIC button a second time, you may have to be
closertothevehicleduetotheradiofrequencynoisesof
thesystem.
UsingThePanicAlarm
ToTurnOff“FlashLightsOnLock/Unlock”
To turn the panic alarm feature ON or OFF, press and
holdthePANICbuttononthetransmitterforatleastone
second and release. When the panic alarm is on, the
headlightsandparklightswillflash,thehornwillpulse
onandoffandtheinteriorlightswillturnon.
NOTE: Ifdesired,the“FlashLightsOnLock/Unlock”
feature can be turned on and off by referring to the
CustomerProgrammableFeaturesofthe“ElectronicVe-
hicleInformationCenter(EVIC)”sectionorbyfollowing
thesesteps.
The panic alarm will stay on for 3 minutes unless you
turnitoffbypressingthePANICbuttonasecondtimeor
ifthevehiclespeedis15mph(24km/h)orgreater.
1. Press and hold the “Unlock” button for 4 to 10
seconds.
