tion of the turbocharger. This is particularly neces-
saryafteranyperiodofharddriving.
Turbocharger“CoolDown”
NEVERpourfuelorotherflammableliquidintothe
air inlet opening in an attempt to start the vehicle.
This could result in a flash fire causing serious
personalinjury.
NOTE: Lettingtheengineidleafterextendedoperation
allows the turbine housing to cool to normal operating
temperature.
Thefollowingchartshouldbeusedasaguideindeter-      5
mining the amount of engine idle time required to
sufficiently cool down the turbocharger  before shut
down, depending upon the type of driving and the
amountofcargo.
Runningacoldengineathighspeedsduringdriving
oridlingmaydamageenginecomponents.
