If the engine shows no sign of starting after two 15
second periods of cranking with the accelerator pedal
heldtothefloor,thenormalstartingprocedureshouldbe
repeated.

Do not press the accelerator. Turn the ignition key
briefly to START position, and release it. The starter
motorwillcontinuetorun,butwillautomaticallydisen-

throttlebodyairinletopeninginanattempttostart
thevehicle.Thiscouldresultinaflashfirecausing
seriouspersonalinjury.
NOTE: Thestartermotormayrunupto30secondsin
very cold conditions until the engine is started. The
startercanbedisengagedbyturningtheignitionkeyto
theOFFposition,ifrequired.
