Whenusingtheairconditionerinextremelyheavytraffic
in hot weather especially when towing a trailer, addi-
tionalenginecoolingmayberequired.Ifthissituationis
encountered,operatethetransmissioninalowergearto
increaseengineRPM,coolantflowandfanspeed.When
stoppedinheavytraffic,itmaybenecessarytoshiftinto
N (Neutral) and depress the accelerator slightly for fast
idleoperationtoincreasecoolantflowandfanspeed.
WinterOperation
When operating the system during the winter months,
makesuretheairintake,locateddirectlyinfrontofthe
windshield, is free of ice, slush, snow, or other obstruc-
tions.
VacationStorage
Anytimeyoustoreyourvehicle,orkeepitoutofservice 4
(i.e.vacation)fortwoweeksormore,runtheaircondi-
tioningsystematidleforaboutfiveminutesinthefresh
air and high blower setting. This will insure adequate
system lubrication to minimize the possibility of com-
pressordamagewhenthesystemisstartedagain.
Your air conditioning system is also equipped with an
automaticrecirculationsystem.Whenthesystemsenses
aheavyloadorhighheatconditions,itmayusepartial
RecirculationA/Cmodetoprovideadditionalcomfort.
