PreparationsForJacking
Forexample,ifchangingtherightfronttire,blockthe
leftrearwheel.
Park the vehicle on a firm level surface, avoid ice or
slipperyareas,settheparkingbrakeandplacethegear
selectorinP(Park).TurnOFFtheignition.
•
Passengersshouldnotremaininthevehiclewhenthe
vehicleisbeingjacked.
JackingInstructions
WARNING!
1.
Removethesparetire,jack,andtoolsfromstorage.
Do not attempt to change a tire on the side of the
vehicle close to moving traffic. Pull far enough off
theroadtoavoidbeinghitwhenoperatingthejack
orchangingthewheel.
2. Loosen (but do not remove) the wheel lug nuts by
turningthemtotheleftoneturnwhilethewheelisstill
ontheground.
3.
Assemblethejackandjackingtoolsasshown.Connect
•
TurnontheHazardWarningFlasher.
Blockboththefrontandrear
ofthewheeldiagonallyoppo-
site of the jacking position.
jackhandledriver(A)totwoextensions(B),thentothe
lugwrench(C).
