to touch the parking brake or the gear selector

could operate power windows, other controls, or

ParkingBrake
Besuretheparkingbrakeisfirmlysetwhenparkedand
the gear shift lever is in the P (Park) position. When
parking on a hill, you should apply the parking brake
beforeplacingthegearshiftleverinP(Park),otherwise
the load on the transmission locking mechanism may
makeitdifficulttomovetheselectoroutofP(Park).

Be sure the parking brake is fully disengaged
beforedriving,failuretodosocanleadtobrake
problems due to excessive heating of the rear
brakes.
