Driving the vehicle with the parking
brake applied can damage the rear
brakes and hubs. A beeper will sound if
the vehicle is driven with the parking
brake on.

PARKINGBRAKELEVER
OnCanadianmodels
Toapplytheparkingbrake,pullthe
leverupfully.Toreleaseit,pullup
slightly,pushthebutton,andlower
thelever.Theparkingbrake
indicatorontheinstrumentpanel
shouldgooutwhentheparking
brakeisfullyreleased(seepage58).
Theoutsidemirrorsareheatedto
removefogandfrost.Withthe
ignitionswitchintheON(II)
position,turnontheheatersby
pressingthebutton.Theindicatorin
thebuttoncomesonasareminder.
Pressthebuttonagaintoturnthe
heatersoff.Pressingthisbuttonalso
turnstherearwindowdefoggeron
andoff.
