youturntheignitionswitchtothe
ON(II)position.Itwillthengooffif
youhaveinsertedaproperlycoded
ignitionkey.Ifitisnotaproperly
codedkey,theindicatorwillblink,
andtheengine’sfuelsystemwillbe
disabled(seepage 79 ).

Thisindicatorcomesonforseveral
secondswhenyouturntheignition
switchtotheON(II)position.Ifit
comesonatanyothertime,it
indicatesthatthepassenger’sside
airbaghasautomaticallyshutoff.

Theleftorrightturnsignalindicator
blinkswhenyousignalalanechange
orturn.Ifanindicatordoesnotblink
orblinksrapidly,itusuallymeans
oneoftheturnsignalbulbsis
burnedout(seepages295and296).
Replacethebulbassoonaspossible,
sinceotherdriverscannotseethat
youaresignaling.
Anti-lockBrakeSystem
(ABS)Indicator
Thisindicatornormallycomesonfor
afewsecondswhenyouturnthe
ignitionswitchtotheON(II)
position.Ifitcomesonatanyother
time,thereisaproblemwiththe
ABS.Ifthishappens,haveyour
vehiclecheckedatadealer.With
thisindicatoron,yourvehiclestill
hasnormalbrakingabilitybutno
anti-lockfunction.Formore

andallturnsignalsontheoutsideof
