Drivingwithvaryingtireorwheel
sizesmaycausetheVSAto
malfunction.Whenreplacingtires,
makesuretheyareofthesamesize
andtypeasyouroriginaltires(see
page307).
VSAOFFSWITCH
Incertainunusualconditionswhen
yourvehiclegetsstuckinshallow
mudorfreshsnow,itmaybeeasier
tofreeitwiththeVSAtemporarily
switchedoff.WhentheVSAsystem
isoff,thetractioncontrolsystemis
alsooff.Youshouldonlyattemptto
freeyourvehiclewiththeVSAoffif
youarenotabletofreeitwhenthe
VSAison.
Ifyouinstallwintertires,makesure
theyarethesamesizeasthosethat
wereoriginallysuppliedwithyour
vehicle.Exercisethesamecaution
duringwinterdrivingasyouwouldif
yourvehiclewasnotequippedwith
VSA.
Thisswitchisunderthedriver’sside
vent.ToturntheVSAsystemonand
off,pressandholdituntilyouheara
beep.
Immediatelyafterfreeingyour
vehicle,besuretoswitchtheVSAon
again.Wedonotrecommenddriving
yourvehiclewiththeVSAand
WhenVSAisoff,theVSAactivation
indicatorcomesonasareminder.
Pressandholdtheswitchagain.It
turnsthesystembackon.
