Thevehiclestabilityassist(VSA)
systemhelpstostabilizethevehicle
duringcorneringifthevehicleturns
moreorlessthandesired.Italso
assistsyouinmaintainingtraction
whileacceleratingonlooseor
slipperyroadsurfaces.Itdoesthis
WhenVSAactivates,youwillseethe
VSAActivationindicatorblink.

Ifthisindicatorcomesonwhile
OnU.S.models
Ifthelowtirepressureindicatoror
TPMSindicatorcomeson,theVSA
systemautomaticallyturnsonevenif
theVSAsystemisturnedoffby
pressingtheVSAOFFswitch(see
page271).Ifthishappens,you
cannotturntheVSAsystemoffby
pressingtheVSAOFFswitchagain.

byselectivelyapplyingthebrakes.

Iftheindicatordoesnotcomeon
whentheignitionswitchisturnedto
theON(II)position,theremaybea
problemwiththeVSAsystem.Have
yourdealerinspectyourvehicleas
soonaspossible.
WithoutVSA,yourvehiclewillhave
normalbrakingandcorneringability,
butitwillnothaveVSAtractionand
stabilityenhancement.
TheVSAsystemcannotenhancethe
vehicle’sdrivingstabilityinall
situationsanddoesnotcontrolyour
vehicle’sentirebrakingsystem.Itis
stillyourresponsibilitytodriveand
corneratreasonablespeedsandto
leaveasufficientmarginofsafety.
