procedure,youshouldtakeseveral
precautions.
Tojumpstartyourvehicle:
1.Openthehood,andcheckthe
physicalconditionofthe12volt
battery.
A battery can explode if you do
not follow the correct procedure,
seriously injuring anyone
nearby.
If a battery sits in extreme cold, the
electrolyte inside can freeze.
Attempting to jump start with a frozen
battery can cause it to rupture.
Keep all sparks, open flames,
and smoking materials away
from the battery.
BOOSTERBATTERY
2.Turnoffallelectricalaccessories:
heater,A/C,climatecontrol,audio
system,lights,etc.Putthe
transmissioninPark,andsetthe
parkingbrake.
Thenumbersintheillustrationshow
youtheordertoconnectthejumper
cables.
Youcannotstartyourvehicleby
pushingorpullingit.
3.Connectonejumpercabletothe
positive(＋)terminalonyour
battery.Connecttheotherendto
thepositive(＋)terminalonthe
boosterbattery.
