Thesecuritysystemhelpstoprotect
yourvehicleandvaluablesfromtheft.
Thehornsoundsandacombination
ofheadlights(lowbeam),parking
lights,sidemarkerlights,and
taillightsflashifsomeoneattempts
tobreakintoyourvehicleorremove
theradio.Thisalarmcontinuesfor2
minutes,thenitstops.Toresetan
activatedsystembeforethe2
minuteshaveelapsed,unlockthe
driver’sdoorwiththekeyorthe
remotetransmitter.
soundifthetrunklockisforced,or
thetrunkisopenedwiththetrunk
releasehandle.
Thesecuritysystemwillnotsetif
thehood,trunk,oreitherdoorisnot
fullyclosed.Ifthesystemwillnotset,
turntheignitionswitchtotheON
(II)position,andcheckthe
indicatorsontheinstrumentpanel.
Closeeitherdoororthetrunk
indicatedonthedisplay.Checkthe
hoodvisuallysinceitisnotpartof
thedisplay,andshutitifnecessary.
SECURITYSYSTEMINDICATOR
Oncethesecuritysystemisset,
openinganydoor,thetrunk,orthe
hoodwithoutusingthekeyorthe
remotetransmitterwillcausethe
alarmtobeactivated.Itwillalsobe
activatediftheaudiounitisremoved
fromthedashboardorthewiringis
cut.
Thesecuritysystemautomatically
sets15secondsafteryoulockthe
doors,hood,andtrunk.Forthe
systemtoactivate,youmustlockthe
doorsfromtheoutsidewiththekey,
driver’slocktab,doorlockmaster
switch,orremotetransmitter.The
securitysystemindicatoronthe
instrumentpanelstartsblinking
immediatelytoshowyouthesystem
issettingitself.
NOTE:Toseeifthesystemisset
afteryouexitthevehicle,pressthe
LOCKbuttonontheremote
transmitterwithin5seconds.Ifthe
systemisset,thehornwillbeep
once.
Donotattempttoalterthissystem
oraddotherdevicestoit.
Withthesystemset,youcanstill
openthetrunkwiththemasterkey
ortheremotetransmitterwithout
triggeringthealarm.Thealarmwill
