for every brand this is why it has an
special adapter with electronic circuitry
to fin communication with different

RENAULT IMMOBILIZER
6.2.1 INTRODUCTION
Renault immobilizer system trough radio-frequency remote control, includes, in
addition to the radio the radio-frequency emitter to open the central locking system, an
immobilizer´s of evolutive code. This chip (transponder) feeds up from the coil in the ignition
lock cylinder trough electromagnetic waves. Responding to this excitation, the chip responds
with an a evolutive code(different each time). The immobilizer´s ECU checks if the code is
stored in memory, sending if the answer is yes, a signal to the injection ECU that allows to
start the engine.
6.2.2 CODIFYING
To accomplish key coding the following points must be taken into account:
1.
It’s necessary to know the PASSWORD of the immobilizer system. This code is an 8
digit numerical code handed over to the customer with the original keys.
2.
During remote control codification, old key codes will be erased from memory,
therefore, all existing keys must be coded in the same session. In case that none of the
keys is codified the old values remain in memory.
3.
4.
If a key is codified( authorized to start the engine), at the same time memorizes the
function of remote opening with the radio-frequency remote control, therefore there’s
no need of additional actions.
The maximum number of keys to store is 4, the process ends automatically when this
number is reached. The use can stop the codification when desired.
