In the ROVER 45 the connector is OBD II type and is
found just beside the pedals.
Technical Information
The immobiliser system is activated by remote key fob which also locks doors and sets alarm system,
The key is a normal Key without transponder inside, the fob deactivates the immobiliser by pressing
the unlock button on the remote and also opens doors and turns the alarm system off. There is also a
special override code which can be used to turn the immobiliser and alarm system off this is known as
the EKA code. The JMA RT3 Diagnostic unit can program up to 4 plip keys and can also read the
EKA code this can be used to mechanically start the vehicle if there is a problem with the remote and
there is a special sequence used to perform this operation follow instructions in your key fob
programming guide plip keys are all available from your JMA distributor together with more
technical information about the security system. Future software upgrades will be available soon to
cover more models and for older models which use old style diagnostic connector. When
programming plip keys or reading EKA codes always use GREEN pod with standard OBD-II lead to
communicate and program plip keys. Insure battery has good voltage and plip keys have good
batteries before performing diagnostic programming procedure.
