Technical Information
The immobiliser system fitted to these vehicles is called SMARTRA and is the same that is fitted to
KIA vehicles. There are two basic systems on the early models which is called immobiliser 1 and the
pin code is always 2345 on newer vehicles generally 2002 upwards a 6 digit password is required
which is vin specific. The immobiliser 1 system you can program 3 extra keys to the immobiliser plus
the master key when using pin code 2345.The immobiliser 2 system with the 6 digit password a total of
5
keys can be programmed. With both systems the keys are automatically erased during the
programming sequence and all keys that need to be programmed have to be coded at the same time.
Key blanks and transponders are all available from your JMA distributor and any updates to the
software will be provided when needed.
