Technical Information
The INMO System fitted to these cars is known as NATS and there are generally two systems in use
NATS 2 and 5.On NATS 2 cars the diagnostic lead is not OBD-II but a special lead supplied in your
RT3 kit for pre 2000 vehicles. This lead also needs to be attached to the vehicles battery power supply
positive in order to power the diagnostic unit. There is no pin code required for programming and a
maximum of 4 keys can be coded to the INMO system, all keys required for coding need to be
programmed at the same time as the system automatically erases keys not present. In some countries
a password fixed is required for key programming this information is available to RT3 users only.
With the OBD-II diagnostic system some vehicles require a VIN specific pin code which at present
must be obtained from your Nissan dealership. The 2000 year upward vehicles with VIN specific
codes can be coded to except a maximum of five keys. Key blanks and transponders are all available
from your JMA distributor. New software being developed at present will be available soon to bypass
the VIN specific pin codes.
