contrary, if the user tries to start the vehicle, the engine won’t even try to rotate

7.2.3 WARNING
The codifying process can be achieved by the user with no need with no need of the
diagnosis tester. If the user has the master key (or keys): one red key for PATS I immobilizers
and two keys for the modern PATS II. In this case refer to car user’s handbook to accomplish
manual codifying.
In any case, key codifying can be achieved with the tester. In this case, the following
points might be taken into account:
In case of loosing one or more keys it’s recommendable to erase every key and
proceed to codify the keys again.
WARNING: The car won’t start if you don’t codify 1 key for PATS I system and
2
key for PATS II system.
If you only wish to add one key, it isn’t necessary to codify the previous keys, the
system will maintain its codes.
The protection of the key codifying process is usually programmed by time. In this
case it’s necessary to wait for 10 minutes to get access granted, being unnecessary
to enter any code.
