Withtheparkingbrakeengagedandyourfooton
thebrakepedal,starttheengineandmovethe
gearshiftleverthroughallofthegearranges.Allow
sufficienttimeforeachgeartoengage.

LatchthegearshiftleverinP(Park)andleavethe
enginerunning.
5.
Removethedipstick,wipingitcleanwithaclean,
drylintfreerag.
6.
Installthedipstickmakingsureitisfullyseatedin
thefillertube.
7.
Thefluidshouldbeinthedesignatedareasfor
normalandroomtemperature.
Removethedipstickandinspectthefluidlevel.
Low fluid level
Donotdrivethe
vehicleifthefluidlevel

isatthebottomofthe
dipstickandtheoutsidetemperaturesareabove
10°C
(50°F).
Correct fluid level
Thetransmissionfluidshouldbecheckedatnormal
operatingtemperatures66°C-77°C(150°F-170°F)on
alevelsurface.Thenormaloperatingtemperature
canbereachedafterapproximately30km(20
miles)ofdriving.
