Squeezethetabsonthetopandthebottomof

Pressthereleasebuttononthecrotchsafetybelt

buckle.

Slidetheshoulderbeltsoffthechild’sshoulders

andremovethechild.

To stow the built-in child seat

Returnthechildseat

cushiontotheupright

position,thenpress

firmlyinthecenterand

topofthechildseat.

Inspecting the built-in child seat after a collision

Inspectallbuilt-inchildrestraints,includingseats,

buckles,retractors,seatlatches.Interlocksand

attachinghardwareshouldbeinspectedbya

qualifiedtechnicianafteranycollision.Ifthechild

seatwasinuseduringacollision,Fordrecommends

replacingit.Built-inchildrestraintsnotinuse

duringacollisionshouldbeinspectedandreplaced

ifeitherdamageorimproperoperationisnoted.
