provideagoodshoulderbeltfit.
Donotleavechildren,unreliableadults,or
petsunattendedinyourvehicle.
Toimprovethefitoflapandshoulderbeltson
childrenwhohaveoutgrownchildsafetyseats,Ford
recommendsuseofabelt-positioningboosterseat
thatislabelledasconformingtoallFederalmotor
vehiclesafetystandards.Belt-positioningbooster
seatsraisethechildandprovideashorter,firmer
seatingcushionthatencouragessaferseating
postureandbetterfitoflapandshoulderbeltson
thechild.
Abelt-positioningboostershouldbeusedifthe
shoulderbeltrestsinfrontofthechild’sfaceor
neck,orifthelapbeltdoesnotfitsnuglyonboth
thighs,orifthethighsaretooshorttoletthechild
sitallthewaybackontheseatcushionwhenthe
lowerlegshangovertheedgeoftheseatcushion.
