causeacidtoflowthroughtheventcaps,resulting
inpersonalinjuryand/ordamagetothevehicleor
battery.Liftthebatterywithabatterycarrieror
withyourhandsonoppositecorners.
Keepbatteriesoutofreachofchildren.
Batteriescontainsulfuricacid.Avoidcontact
withskin,eyesorclothing.Shieldyoureyeswhen
workingnearthebatterytoprotectagainst
possiblesplashingofacidsolution.Incaseofacid
contactwithskinoreyes,flushimmediatelywith
waterforaminimumof15minutesandget
promptmedicalattention.Ifacidisswallowed,call
aphysicianimmediately.
Becauseyourvehicle’sengineiselectronically
controlledbyacomputer,somecontrolconditions
aremaintainedbypowerfromthebattery.Whenthe
batteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,
theenginemustrelearnitsidleconditionsbefore
yourvehiclewilldriveproperly.Tobeginthis
process:

PutthegearshiftinP(Park),turnoffall
accessoriesandstarttheengine.
3.
Lettheengineidleforatleastoneminute.
4.
Therelearningprocesswillautomatically
completeasyoudrivethevehicle.

Ifyoudonotallowtheenginetorelearnitsidle,
theidlequalityofyourvehiclemaybeadversely
affecteduntiltheidleiseventuallyrelearned.
