generationofheatanditsabilitytodissipateheat
whentestedundercontrolledconditionsona
specifiedindoorlaboratorytestwheel.Sustained
hightemperaturecancausethematerialofthetire
todegenerateandreducetirelife,andexcessive
temperaturecanleadtosuddentirefailure.The
gradeCcorrespondstoalevelofperformancewhich
allpassengercartiresmustmeetundertheFederal
MotorVehicleSafetyStandardNo.109.GradesB
andArepresenthigherlevelsofperformanceonthe
laboratorytestwheelthantheminimumrequiredby
law.
Thetemperaturegradeforthistireis
establishedforatirethatisproperlyinflated
andnotoverloaded.Excessivespeed,
underinflation,orexcessiveloading,either
separatelyorincombination,cancauseheat
buildupandpossibletirefailure.
