Thefrontandrearoutboardsafetyrestraintsinthe
vehiclearecombinationlapandshoulderbelts.The
frontandrearseatpassengeroutboardsafetybelts
havetwotypesoflockingmodesdescribedbelow:
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thevehiclesensitivemodeisthenormalretractor
mode,allowingfreeshoulderbeltlengthadjustment
toyourmovementsandlockinginresponseto
vehiclemovement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakes
suddenlyorturnsacornersharply,orthevehicle
receivesanimpactof8km/h(5mph)ormore,the
combinationsafetybeltswilllocktohelpreduce
forwardmovementofthedriverandpassengers.
Automatic locking mode
Inthismode,theshoulderbeltisautomatically
pre-locked.Thebeltwillstillretracttoremoveany
slackintheshoulderbelt.
Theautomaticlockingmodeisnotavailableonthe
driversafetybelt.
When to use the automatic locking mode
