beserviced.WiththeABSlighton,theanti-lock
brakesystemisdisabledandnormalbrakingisstill
effectiveunlessthebrakewarninglightalsoremains
illuminatedwithparkingbrakereleased.(Ifyour
brakewarninglampilluminates,haveyourvehicle
servicedimmediately).
Using ABS
•
Inanemergencyorwhenmaximumefficiency
fromtheABSisrequired,applycontinuousfull
forceonthebrake.TheABSwillbeactivated
immediately,thusallowingyoutoretainfull
steeringcontrolofyourvehicleand,providing
thereissufficientspace,willenableyoutoavoid
obstaclesandbringthevehicletoacontrolled
stop.

TheAnti-Locksystemdoesnotdecreasethetime
necessarytoapplythebrakesoralwaysreduce
stoppingdistance.Alwaysleaveenoughroom
betweenyourvehicleandthevehicleinfrontof
youtostop.
Werecommendthatyoufamiliarizeyourselfwith
thisbrakingtechnique.However,avoidtakingany
unnecessaryrisks.
