pressed,itmeansthereisamalfunctioninyour
transaxle’selectronicsystem.Contactyourdealeras
soonaspossibleordamagetothetransaxlemay
occur.
Eachtimethevehicleisstarted,thetransaxlewill
automaticallyreturntonormaloverdrivemode.
When to use D (Drive) or press the O/D OFF
switch (if equipped)
Youwillnoticethat
thereisonlyonedrive
positiononyour
gearshiftindicator
(insteadofDriveand
Overdrive).However,
youwillfindacontrol
labeledO/Dlocatedon
thegearshiftlever.
Pushintheswitchand
theO/DOFFlightin
theinstrumentcluster
willilluminate.With
theO/DOFFlight
illuminated,the
transaxlewilloperate
infirst,secondand
thirdgearsandwillnotshiftintofourthgear.
OperatinginD(O/DOFF)providesmoreengine
brakingthanOverdrivefordescendinghillsorcity
driving.
ToreturnthetransaxletothenormalOverdrive
operation,presstheO/DOFFcontrolagain.Usethis
controltoselectOverdriveorD(O/DOFF)
wheneveryoudriveyourvehicle.
IftheO/DOFFindicatorlightisflashingonandoff
repeatedlywhenthevehicleisstartedordoesnot
comeonwhentheO/DOFFcontrolispressed,it
meansthatthereisatransaxleelectronicsystem
