Brakesystemwarninglight:To
confirmthebrakesystemwarning
lightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONposition
!
BRAKE
whentheengineisnotrunning,orinapositionbetweenONandSTART,
orbyapplyingtheparkingbrakewhentheignitionisturnedtotheON
position.Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateatthis
time,seekserviceimmediatelyfromyourdealership.Illuminationafter
releasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluidlevelandthebrake
systemshouldbeinspectedimmediatelybyanauthorizedMazdadealer.
WARNING: Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarning
lightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking
performancemayoccur.Itwilltakeyoulongertostopthe
vehicle.Havethevehiclecheckedbyyourdealerimmediately.
Anti-lockbrakesystem(ABS)
(ifequpped):IftheABSlightstays
illuminatedorcontinuestoflash,a
ABS
malfunctionhasbeendetected,have
thesystemservicedimmediately.
Normalbrakingisstillfunctionalunlessthebrakesystemwarninglight
alsoisilluminated.
WARNING: Ifthelightremainson,continuestoflashorfails
toilluminate,havethesystemservicedimmediately.Withthe
ABSlighton,theanti-lockbrakesystemisdisabledandnormal
brakingisstilleffectiveunlessthebrakewarninglightalso
remainsilluminatedwiththeparkingbrakereleased.
