How to disengage the automatic locking mode
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
WARNING: Afteranyvehiclecollision,thefrontpassenger
outboardseatbeltsystemmustbecheckedbyanauthorized
Mazdadealershiptoverifythatthe“automaticlocking
retractor”featureforchildseatsisstillfunctioningproperly.In
addition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedforproperfunction.
Additionally,ifthefrontairbagshavedeployed,thefront
pretensionershavealsodeployedandthefrontseatrestraint
systemmustbereplaced.
WARNING: BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBE
REPLACEDiftheseatbeltassembly“automaticlocking
retractor”featureoranyotherseatbeltfunctionisnot
operatingproperlywhencheckedaccordingtotheproceduresin
WorkshopManual.
WARNING: FailuretoreplacetheBeltandRetractorassembly
couldincreasetheriskofinjuryincollisions.
Front safety belt height adjustment
Adjusttheheightoftheshoulder
beltsothebeltrestsacrossthe
middleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
pushthebuttonandslidetheheight
adjusterupordown.Releasethe
buttonandpulldownontheheight
adjustertomakesureitislockedin
place.
