Locking the doors
1.
Turnthekeyinthedoorcylindertolockallthedoors.Thepark
lampswillflashonceandtheperimeteralarm(ifequipped)willbe
startthearmingprocess.Formoreinformationconcerningthe
perimeteralarm,refertoPerimeteralarmsystem(ifequipped)
laterinthischapter.
2.
Turnthekeyinthedoorcylinderagainwithinthreesecondsto
confirmthatallthedoorsareclosedandlocked.Note:thedoorswill
lockagain,thehornwillchirponce,andtheparklampswillflash.
Ifanyofthedoorsorthehoodarenotproperlyclosedthehornwillnot
soundandtheparklampswillnotflash.
Smart unlocking feature
Thesmartunlockingfeaturepreventsyoufromlockingyourselfoutof
thevehiclebyunlockingthedoorsifthekeyisintheignitionandthe
driver’sdoorisopen/ajarwhenthevehicledoorswerelockedusingthe
powerlock/unlockcontrol.
Thesmartunlockingfeatureoperatesindependentofthepositionofthe
ignition.
Childproof door locks
•
Whentheselocksareset,the
reardoorscannotbeopenedfrom
theinside.
•
Thereardoorscanbeopened
fromtheoutsidewhenthedoors
areunlocked.
Thechildprooflocksarelocatedon
rearedgeofeachreardoorand
mustbesetseparatelyforeach
door.Settingthelockforonedoor
willnotautomaticallysetthelock
forbothdoors.
•
Rotatelockcontrolinthe
directionofarrowtoengagethe
lock.
•
Rotatecontrolintheopposite
directiontodisengagechildproof
locks.
